Keepsake Quilting
America's Favorite Quilt Shop. Keepsake Quilting has come a long way since 1986 when Judy and Russ Sabanek turned their vision of a quilting catalog into reality. The first catalog, which mailed in the spring of 1987, met with such great enthusiasm that customers started showing up at Russ and Judy’s small office hoping to see the fabrics in person. Thus, in 1988, the retail shop, which quickly became a Mecca for quilters from around the world, was born in Center Harbor, New Hampshire. Judy and Russ, who check in on us from time to time, are now retired, enjoying their home on beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee with Keepsake Quilting’s beloved mascots, Portuguese water dogs Cisco and Veronica.
Our 80-page mostly black and white catalog has grown over the years to a beautiful, full-color, 128-page catalog and a Web site offering a huge selection of cotton fabrics, a vast array of books, kits, patterns, fabric Medleys™ and quilting supplies. The shop has also grown and now includes items from our sister catalogs Keepsake NeedleArts™ and Patternworks™. The shop is not only a quilter’s paradise; it has become a needleworker and knitter’s paradise.
